The 8×10 has served a vibrant live music community for the last four decades by offering diverse entertainment and providing a warm, welcoming “third place” to joyfully gather. Over the last 40 years, the stage at 10 East Cross Street has hosted legendary acts including Nirvana, Widespread Panic, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phish, Chuck Berry, Dave Matthews Band, Lenny Kravitz, Jimmy Cliff and many more. As of 2026, The 8×10 has entered a new era of stewardship with an ownership group that includes beloved Baltimore musician Cris Jacobs and Rising Sun Presents, a Philadelphia-based live music production company. The 8×10 is a 300-capacity rock club that features a state of the art sound system, an open dance floor with a wraparound balcony, and a full bar with a wide selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. We plan on re-opening October 6th!
Job Description:
As a Box Office Attendant at the 8x10, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patrons attending events. Your primary responsibility will be managing ticket sales, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the venue's box office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ticket Sales:
- Efficiently sell tickets using the venue's ticketing system.
- Provide information on event details, seating options, and pricing.
- Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment accurately.
- Ensure compliance with ticketing policies and procedures.
- Customer Service:
- Greet and assist patrons in a friendly and professional manner.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and courteously.
- Assist patrons with accessible seating options and accommodations.
- Resolve ticketing issues and discrepancies with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Information Dissemination:
- Stay informed about upcoming events, promotions, and venue policies.
- Provide accurate event information to patrons, including showtimes, support acts, and venue amenities.
- Collaborate with other departments to relay relevant information to patrons.
- Box Office Operations:
- Maintain organized and efficient box office procedures.
- Collaborate with the venue's management and event organizers to implement effective ticketing strategies.
- Monitor ticket availability and update inventory as needed.
- Reporting:
- Generate and maintain accurate daily ticket sales reports.
- Provide relevant information to management for analysis and decision-making.
- Identify and report any issues affecting box office operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
Physical Requirements:

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
