About The Role
The Production Supervisor is a key leader within the production team, responsible for safety, quality and guiding front‑line employees to achieve production. In this role, you’ll balance hands‑on leadership with operational oversight—coaching employees, monitoring performance, and continuously improving how work gets done. You’ll be a trusted presence on your shift and a partner to cross‑functional teams, helping ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the on‑site safety representative during emergencies or when management is offsite
- Partner with Health & Safety to advance safety programs and promote a safe workplace
- Uphold quality and food safety standards, including SQF system requirements
- Lead daily team huddles and monthly meetings to reinforce safety, alignment, and productivity
- Collaborate with sanitation teams to ensure compliance and cleanliness standards
- Lead and support front‑line production employees to meet daily and weekly production goals
- Schedule production assignments and monitor throughput and quality metrics
- Coach, develop, and manage employee performance through timely feedback
- Maintain accurate production records and support employee training and evaluations
- Drive labor efficiency and manage labor variances within the department
- Support budgeting activities and continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed
- 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Associate degree in manufacturing, maintenance, or a related technical field
- Experience with behavior‑based safety programs
- Strong communication, organization, and planning skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- This role is based onsite at our Fitzgerald, Georgia manufacturing facility
- No regular travel is required
