Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all plant associates, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to company standards
- Oversee component manufacturing operations, including workflow planning and production techniques
- Complete weekly lumber and hardware inventories and maintain accurate inventory control
- Calculate and submit weekly BCS spreadsheets and maintain daily updates in the 84 Lumber timekeeping system
- Conduct daily plant walk-through inspections to ensure safety, organization, and operational effectiveness
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, reliable, and calibrated
- Develop and implement plant layouts to optimize material flow based on current product mix
- Administer safety and quality training to all new hires on their first day and conduct annual training for all associates
- Manage attendance reporting, including sick time, vacation tracking, and associate evaluations, in coordination with the corporate office
- Participate in and lead performance evaluations for hourly associates
- Address employee concerns, resolve grievances, and administer disciplinary action when necessary
- Plan labor allocation, assign work, and determine appropriate materials, supplies, machinery, and tools
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment for all associates
- Develop, manage, and control the plant operating budget
