Social Media & Digital Manager

Position Overview

WEEU Radio is seeking a creative, organized, and digitally focused Social Media & Digital Manager to manage WEEU's digital presence, create social media content for advertising clients, maintain WEEU's website, and coordinate station events and appearances.

The ideal candidate will combine strong content creation and digital marketing skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with WEEU staff, clients, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Management

• Manage WEEU's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and other appropriate platforms.
• Develop and maintain a consistent content calendar promoting WEEU programming, personalities, news, sports, events, community involvement, and station initiatives.
• Create original content including reels, short-form video, photography, graphics, interviews, and social posts.
• Collaborate with programming, sales, news, sports, and on-air talent to identify and develop content opportunities.
• Monitor social media performance and use analytics to improve reach, engagement, and audience growth.
• Stay current on social media trends, platform changes, and emerging content formats.

WEEU Website Management

• Manage and maintain WEEU's website and web content.
• Create and update pages, articles, graphics, photos, videos, and other station information.
• Ensure programming, personality, sports, event, contest, and advertiser information remains accurate and current.
• Apply basic SEO and web best practices to improve discoverability, traffic, and user experience.
• Maintain consistent WEEU branding across web and social platforms.
• Coordinate with outside web developers or technology providers when needed.

Client Social Media Content

• Create professional social media content for WEEU advertising clients, including reels, short-form videos, posts, stories, photography, graphics, interviews, and sponsored content.
• Work with clients and WEEU sales representatives to develop creative concepts that support client marketing objectives.
• Participate in on-location client content shoots and edit photography, video, and other creative assets.
• Coordinate content schedules, client approvals, revisions, and campaign deliverables.
• Adapt content for appropriate social platforms while maintaining client branding and messaging.
• Help identify new social media and content opportunities that can be incorporated into WEEU advertising campaigns.

Events & Community Engagement

• Help plan and coordinate WEEU events, client remotes, station appearances, and community initiatives.
• Coordinate event logistics with WEEU staff, clients, sponsors, venues, and community partners.
• Manage station materials, signage, giveaways, and other event needs.
• Create social media content before, during, and after events to increase awareness and engagement.
• Capture photography, video, interviews, and other content from WEEU events and appearances.
• Represent WEEU professionally at station, client, and community events.

Qualifications

• Experience managing social media and creating digital content for a business, brand, media organization, or clients.
• Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and current social media trends.
• Strong photography, videography, graphic design, writing, and content editing skills.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, Canva, and similar creative platforms.
• Experience with website management and content management systems; WordPress experience preferred.
• Understanding of basic SEO, web analytics, and social media analytics.
• Understanding of digital marketing and how social media content supports broader advertising campaigns.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, clients, events, and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, WEEU staff, on-air personalities, vendors, and community partners.
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events, appearances, and client content needs.

Bonus Skills

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Event planning and coordination.
• Advanced photography, videography, graphic design, or motion graphics.
• Live streaming and digital video production.
• Google Analytics, SEO, and email marketing.
• Digital advertising platforms including Google Ads, Meta Ads, Amazon Ads, and programmatic advertising.

Position Goal

The Social Media & Digital Manager will help strengthen WEEU's digital presence while creating additional value for WEEU advertising clients and community partners. Success will be measured through consistent, high-quality content, audience growth and engagement, an accurate and effective WEEU web presence, strong client content, and successful execution of station events and appearances.
