SUMMARY
At Bites & Brews our hosts greet our guests at the door with a warm welcome and a smile. They are an integral part in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant. The Host/Hostess sets the stage for a positive dining experience, engaging in friendly conversation with guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Greets guests as they enter, and adds them to the waiting list as necessary.
- Provides guests with menus and answers any initial questions.
- Seats guests at tables or in waiting areas.
- Assigns guests to tables that they prefer, while considering proper table rotation so that servers receive the correct number of customers.
- Engages with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
- Efficiently and accurately responds to customer complaints, and assists in resolving them.
- Answers phone calls, takes reservations, and answers general questions.
- Ensures that food health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with servers to ensure orders are delivered correctly and in the right sequence.
- Maintains a clean workstation and dining area.
- Reports kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. To perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Education/Requirements:
- Must be 16 years of age.
- Experience preferred.
