Title: Loan Specialist
Job Summary:
The Loan Specialist serves members through remote delivery channels, providing exceptional service with a strong focus on loan products, insurance, and lending support. This role builds relationships, completes loan applications, promotes appropriate products, and helps members meet their financial needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Take complete and accurate loan applications and perform preliminary credit analysis

Recommend appropriate loan products, services, and credit insurance

Communicate loan decisions and guide members through the closing process

Proactively contact members to increase loan usage

Handle loan and service referrals across multiple channels

Maintain accuracy, productivity, and sales/service goals

Verify member identity and ensure confidentiality

Assist members with account inquiries, transactions, online banking support, and general Credit Union information
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months of loan sales experience within the last 36 months (loan referral experience considered if sales aptitude is demonstrated)
- Proven achievement of sales or referral goals
- Prior contact center or direct member/customer service experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and sales skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sales-focused environment
- Proficient in a Windows-based system
Licenses/Requirements:
- State of Ohio Credit Insurance License (or ability to obtain)
- Bondable; State and Federal SAFE Act registration
