Job Summary: The incumbent will work within the lending systems to provide information to Underwriters to evaluate loans and will work with members and vendors to complete the paperwork and disbursal process.
All job positions at 7 17 Credit Union may be assigned further duties with or without notice, verbally or in writing. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Primary Duties:
- Will be used primarily to perform duties of bargaining unit employees in the Consumer Loan and Real Estate Departments. Duties will depend on assignment, but will be for the following jobs: Indirect Loan Processor, Central Loan Processor, Real Estate Loan Processor, Mortgage Loan Closing Coordinator, and VISA/Consumer Loan Processor.
- Performs all duties in compliance with Federal and State regulations, 7 17 Board policies, as well as departmental and credit union procedures.
- Responsible for meeting Credit Union, departmental and or individual goals based on the job they are filling.
Qualifications:
Confidentiality Requirements: Must keep members' transactions and other Credit Union business in strictest confidence.
Travel Demands: As required to fulfill job duties.
Prerequisite Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Prerequisite Experience: Must have the experience outlined below within the last three years:
- First Mortgage Lending: At least six months processing, closing, underwriting, or servicing; OR
- Consumer Lending: At least twelve months processing, closing, underwriting, or servicing.
Valid work experience would include the task being a regular part of the daily job functions and/or primary duties of the position.
Other Prerequisite Requirements of the position:
- Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and any applicable software.
- Must obtain an acceptable score on an Excel assessment.
- The incumbent must be accurate in the processing of a variety of transactions and job functions; be mentally alert, neat in appearance, and punctual.
- The incumbent must possess a thorough understanding of all applicable areas of the Credit Union, support a variety of positions and job functions, and be able to work independently.
- Duties require contact with members, fellow employees and others outside the credit union and accordingly dictate that incumbent represent the credit union in a professional manner, project a neat appearance, project a cooperative attitude in relations with members and other employees, must possess emotional maturity to cope with unusual situations, and must keep members' transaction and other credit union business in strictest confidence.
