Position Summary
The Field Technician will work full-time on construction sites, performing material sampling, testing, and inspection to ensure compliance with project and client requirements. This role is an excellent entry point into the field—no prior experience is required, and full training will be provided. Candidates with experience or certifications will be highly valued, but we welcome applicants who are motivated to learn and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, prepare, and test construction material samples (e.g., concrete, soils, asphalt).
- Perform inspections to confirm compliance with project specifications.
- Accurately document and report field data; coordinate results with the testing laboratory.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and construction crews.
- Begin as a Field Technician, with opportunities to advance into Resident/Project Inspector roles.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ACI Level I Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain (company-supported).
- Prior experience in construction materials testing (2–3 years) is preferred, but not necessary—we will train the right candidate.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs unassisted; must be comfortable with active, outdoor work.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Schedule
- Full-time; typically 40–60 hours per week
- 8 hour shifts, depending on project needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $18.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
