Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Technician to join our soils testing team. The successful candidate will perform laboratory testing, inspections, and quality assurance for soils, aggregates, and other construction materials. Responsibilities:
· Prepare soil and material samples for testing
· Conduct laboratory tests including grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, compaction, and permeability tests
· Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate results
· Record and analyze test data, compiling detailed reports
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory workspace
· Collaborate with engineers and project managers to support project timelines
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or relevant coursework preferred
· Prior experience in soil or materials testing is a plus
· Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and safety standards is a plus
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy samples or equipment
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Schedule
- Full-time; typically 40–60 hours per week
- 8 hour shifts, depending on project needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $18.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
