This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide essential medical coverage in a dynamic Medical Practice environment. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in an on-site medical practice setting.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, focusing on critical care management.
- Perform procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilator management.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Participate in rounds, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Adhere to all medical protocols, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Stay current with advancements in critical care medicine through continuing education.
- Manage multiple patients and prioritize care in a high-pressure environment.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior medical staff as needed.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Marlborough.
- Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine.
- Associate-level experience in critical care or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage critically ill patients and perform critical care procedures.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and other relevant certifications.
- Experience with electronic health records systems.
Schedule: 24-hour shifts (7a-7p, on call 7p-7a)
Setting: 100% inpatient
Daily Volume: 6-8 patients
Required Procedures: Central lines, arterial lines, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and chest tube insertion
Will be working independently
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
DEA and CSR required
Must have critical care/ICU experience
Paid travel & expenses
