Position Title: Staff Accountant
Location: On-site in Burgettstown, PA
Reports To: Controller
6K Additive, Inc. specializes in converting sustainably sourced scrap metals into AM metal powder and Alloy additions. Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will support the company’s accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. This role requires a detail-oriented and motivated professional with strong organizational and analytical skills. The position reports directly to the Controller and will be a key contributor to the Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing and collections.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support audit processes, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Collaborate with other Finance team members on financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls.
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public company environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to corporate reporting.
- Knowledge of internal controls and experience supporting audits or SOX compliance.
- Strong process improvement mindset.
