Role Description The Assistant Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Daphne, AL. This position supports project managers in planning, coordinating, and executing development and construction projects from initiation through completion.
About the Role
We’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our single-family residential development team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager to oversee all phases of the land development process—from planning through completion. You’ll coordinate with public officials, contractors, engineers, and internal teams to keep projects on track, on budget, and up to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Project Manager with daily operations.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets,
and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors,
and subcontractors to meet specifications and
quality requirements.
• Assist with the procurement process, including
reviewing proposals and negotiating vendor
contracts.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement
solutions to maintain schedules.
• Secure permits, approvals, and ensure compliance
with regulations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including
plans, reports, and schedules.
• Facilitate communication and alignment across
internal teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and
address issues as needed.
Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
comfortable speaking with individuals and groups.
• Knowledge of permitting, approvals, and regulatory
processes.
• Demonstrates organizational, planning, and
leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a
team.
Experience
• Minimum 2 years in land development,
construction management, or civil engineering.
• At least 1 years in a supervisory or project
management capacity within the industry.
