Position Summary
The Mammography & X-Ray Technologist performs high-quality imaging examinations while delivering exceptional patient care in a professional outpatient setting.
This position may include Mammography, Diagnostic X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, and DEXA imaging responsibilities depending on experience and credentials. Candidates who are currently certified in Diagnostic Radiography and interested in cross-training into Mammography are encouraged to apply.
We are also open to candidates who prefer to work exclusively in Diagnostic X-Ray.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical skills, excellent patient care, and a commitment to teamwork and continuous learning.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiography examinations according to physician orders and DIC protocols
- Perform mammography examinations in compliance with MQSA regulations and DIC standards, if certified
- Assist with fluoroscopy procedures and patient preparation as needed
- Perform DEXA examinations and maintain quality standards
- Verify patient history and ensure appropriate exam documentation
- Maintain patient safety and radiation protection standards
- Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Maintain equipment functionality and assist with quality assurance activities
- Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout the imaging process
