Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, vendor payments, and client billing
- Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries
- Assist with job costing, tracking project expenses, and monitoring budgets
- Process payroll, including any certified payroll requirements as needed
- Prepare financial reports and support month-end/close processes
- Reconcile credit cards, loans, and other accounts
- Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and team members in both English and Spanish
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper (2 years preferred; construction industry experience a strong plus)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including full-charge bookkeeping
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) required for effective communication
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
- Familiarity with construction-specific accounting (e.g., job costing, AIA billing) is highly desirable
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
