Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure the highest quality standards in our ultra precision optics production. This second-shift role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision, consistency, and meaningful collaboration with both customers and suppliers and can be productive in an off-shift.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect and clean precision optical components using established procedures
· Utilize precision measuring equipment to qualify parts
· Interpret and apply basic blueprint reading skills for inspection
· Train and teach suppliers on internal quality standards and expectations
· Engage in direct customer interactions regarding quality matters
· Handle sensitive optical materials with care and precision
· Sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks
· Travel occasionally to vendor sites for audits and support
Required Qualifications:
· Prior experience in quality inspection or manufacturing, preferably in optics or precision components
· Strong communication and people skills – capable of training others and speaking with customers professionally
· Comfortable working independently on repetitive inspection and cleaning tasks
· Familiarity with handling delicate optical materials or similar precision products
· Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or blueprints
· Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier support or training
· A passion for quality and teamwork
