Retail Operations Specialist – North Carolina

Location: North Carolina – Triad or Triangle Area

Salary: $65,000/year

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Travel: Frequent travel throughout assigned North Carolina territory

We are seeking an experienced Retail Floral Field Support Specialist to support floral

departments across multiple retail locations throughout North Carolina. This position

works closely with Floral Managers, Floral Designers, and store teams to improve

department performance, maintain merchandising and quality standards, provide training,

and support strong customer service and operational results.

The ideal candidate has experience in retail management, merchandising, field

operations, or floral retail operations and is comfortable traveling regularly between

assigned stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach, train, and support Floral Managers, Floral Designers, and retail associates.

• Ensure stores follow company standards for merchandising, floral care, product

quality, presentation, sanitation, and customer service.

• Support Floral Managers with labor scheduling and operational procedures.

• Review store performance and operational reports to identify opportunities for

improvement.

• Assist stores in improving department performance, controlling costs, and

achieving sales goals.

• Conduct store visits and follow up with locations requiring additional operational

support.

• Support new store openings, seasonal programs, special events, and company

initiatives.

• Assist with training materials and provide ongoing support to newly placed Floral

Managers.

• Communicate company programs, expectations, and operational changes to field

teams.

• Partner with retail leadership and merchandising teams to improve processes and

department performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of retail management experience OR relevant corporate/regional

merchandising experience.

• Experience in floral retail, grocery, merchandising, consumer packaged goods,

or multi-store operations strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of merchandising, inventory, customer service, and retail

operations.

• Strong communication, training, and organizational skills.

• Comfortable reviewing operational and performance data.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and general business software.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned

territory.

• Ability to manage multiple stores, priorities, and changing business needs.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.

Schedule & Travel

This is a full-time field-based position requiring frequent weekly travel throughout North

Carolina. Candidates should preferably reside within the Triad (Greensboro, Winston-

Salem, High Point) or Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) area.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required based on

seasonal and business needs.
