Job Summary:
The Service Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring long-term system performance and exceptional customer experience. This role closely mirrors a residential HVAC-style service position: diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, completing small system enhancements, and educating homeowners on repairs and upgrades. You will be the primary point of contact for homeowners after installation, providing service, care, and trusted recommendations not cold calling, not door knocking, and not chasing leads. Appointments are scheduled for you, and you’ll represent Vanterra with professionalism, craftsmanship, and integrity.

What You’ll Do:Service & Diagnostics:
- Diagnose, evaluate, and maintain existing foundation, waterproofing, and crawl space systems
- Perform scheduled annual maintenance and system inspections
- Identify issues, recommend corrective repairs, and provide upgrade options
- Complete small installations such as pumps, backup systems, dehumidifiers, and crack injections
Customer Experience:
- Serve as the trusted advisor for homeowners after installation
- Clearly explain findings, work performed, and next steps
- Build rapport, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Encourage service plan renewals and repeat business
Documentation & Operations:
- Accurately document work orders, materials used, and recommendations in CRM
- Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked service vehicle
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient scheduling and routing
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
What We’re Looking For:Experience & Skillset:
2 years in residential:
- waterproofing
- foundation repair
- plumbing
- HVAC
- or similar mechanical/technical field (preferred)
Additional requirements:
- Strong diagnostic abilities & mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Tech savvy with mobile software & CRM tools
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in crawl spaces, basements, and tight environments
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Bonus Skills:
- Goal-oriented, energetic, positive, and self-motivated
- Proficient reading schematics (if applicable in your market)
- Understanding of pumps, drainage, or mechanical systems a plus
Training & Onboarding:
- 2-week sales training (Atlanta)
- 1-week install/technical training (home market)
- 1-week field ride-along (1–2 appointments/day)
- 1-week light schedule (2 appointments/day end-of-day QA)
- Week 6: fully independent schedule
Compensation:
Training Period (First 30 Days): $25/hr
Post-Training: $20/hr base 10% commission tiered bonus structure
