Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and tow truck models, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely
- Perform automotive diagnostics and basic automotive repairs when necessary to ensure proper vehicle handling
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or specialized lifting tools
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, vehicle owners, and dispatch teams
- Manage conflict situations professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate logs of all recoveries, loads, unloads, and service activities for reporting purposes
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with tow trucks or heavy-duty vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, including diagnostics and repair skills
- Hands-on experience with manual transmissions and automotive repair procedures
- Familiarity with flatbed towing operations and automotive diagnostics tools
- Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or lifting devices
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively in high-pressure situations
- Prior mechanic experience or automotive repair background is highly desirable
