Job Title: Production Facility Cleaner / Sanitation Specialist
Location: Denver
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: [Insert Pay Range, e.g., $18.50 - $21.00/hour]
Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Production Facility Cleaner / Sanitation Specialist to join our commissary team. In this role, your focus is entirely on behind-the-scenes cleanliness. You will be responsible for washing high-volume production equipment, sanitizing prep lines, managing waste, and ensuring our facility meets strict food-manufacturing health and safety codes. If you prefer a consistent facility environment over a hectic front-of-house restaurant environment, this is the perfect fit.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
- High-Volume Warewashing: Wash, sanitize, and properly organize large-scale production equipment, including industrial mixing bowls, massive baking trays, racks, and utensils.
- Production Line Sanitation: Deep clean and sanitize stainless steel prep tables, rolling carts, floor drains, and production areas after batch shifts.
- Equipment Care: Safely clean and clear food debris from facility machinery (ovens, mixers, refrigeration units) following proper lock-out/tag-out safety procedures.
- Floor & Wall Maintenance: Sweep, scrub, and mop facility floors using commercial floor scrubbers or squeegees; wash down walls in high-splash preparation zones.
- Waste Management: Empty heavy industrial trash, recycling, and food scrap bins throughout the shift; safely transport waste to external dumpsters.
- Inventory Control: Monitor chemical and cleaning supply levels in the facility and report restocking needs to the facility manager.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs (such as heavy trash bins, chemical buckets, or equipment parts) consistently over an 8-to-10 hour shift.
- Safety & Compliance Mindset: Understanding of (or willingness to learn) chemical safety (HAZMAT/SDS), food manufacturing sanitation rules, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Dependability: Punctuality is crucial. Our production schedule relies on a clean facility to stay on track.
- Attention to Detail: A high standard for industrial cleanliness—ensuring zero cross-contamination risk on prep lines.
- Prior experience in a food production facility, commissary kitchen, industrial bakery, or hotel housekeeping/stewardship is highly preferred, but we will train individuals with a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions
- This role operates entirely inside a commercial food manufacturing facility.
- You will be exposed to wet environments (wash stations), loud industrial dishwashers, and standard commercial cleaning chemicals.
- Non-slip waterproof boots are highly recommended.
