We are searching for a full-time contract Senior Professional – Merchandising for our athletic apparel and footwear client. In this role, you'll help shape the merchandising strategy for one of the company's most important retail businesses by building profitable product assortments, partnering across Planning, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Operations, and bringing seasonal product stories to life. As a Senior Professional – Merchandising, you will:

• Develop seasonal product assortments for North America retail stores that drive sales and profitability.
• Build merchandising strategies for Footwear and Accessories categories aligned with business goals.
• Optimize assortments across flagship and commercial retail concepts.
• Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Allocation, Marketing, Operations, Visual Merchandising, and E-Commerce teams.
• Analyze sales trends, product performance, and historical data to guide assortment decisions.
• Create merchandising flow calendars highlighting key launches, trends, and seasonal priorities.
• Influence floor sets, product placement, and merchandising presentations.
• Gather feedback from retail stores to continuously improve assortments and the consumer experience.
• Present category line reviews and merchandising recommendations to stakeholders.
• Help drive a best-in-class retail experience through thoughtful product strategy and execution.

Who we're searching for / About you:

• 3–5 years of merchandising or buying experience within a retail environment.
• Experience in apparel, footwear, sporting goods, or a related consumer products industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into merchandising decisions.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple business partners.
• Experience managing product assortments, seasonal strategies, and retail merchandising initiatives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Logistics

Pay: $37.93–$41.38/hour

Location: Baltimore, MD

Work Arrangement: Onsite four days per week with one remote day. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Baltimore.
