5 STAR Event Services is looking for fun and safety people to join our guest services team for upcoming sports & music events for permanent PART TIME, hourly employment.

Description: Event Staff and Security Officers help ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests, clients, and employees.

Pay Range: $13.00 and up/per hour

Duties:

• Protect and maintain the integrity of restricted and public areas

• Monitor entry and exit points

• Conduct routine bag checks, ticket/credential screening, and other inspection procedures

• Greet guests and direct them to seating and services

• Keep walkways and access routes clear

• Respond to guest concerns and follow proper procedures

• Enforce facility rules and report suspicious behavior

• Assist with orderly evacuations during emergencies

• Provide security escorts as needed

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must also possess the following qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable forms of communication and transportation
• LEVEL 2 SECURITY LICENSE (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply, pass exam, submit to fingerprinting, and criminal background check.)

Skills and Abilities:

• A strong customer-service attitude and professional appearance
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• The ability to understand and interpret credentials, documents, signs, rules, policies, and instructions
• The ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons and other employees
• The ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly
• The ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations

Physical Requirements:

• Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see and speak English clearly
• The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)
• The ability to lift 25lbs.

Work Environment:

• Elevated noise levels. Athletic and musical events can be very loud, and employees must be prepared to be exposed to increased noise levels. Ear plugs are available upon request.
• An energetic and fast-paced environment
• Crowds (as in lots of people)
• Working outdoor venues. Some of the events we work take place outside or in open-air venues and take place rain or shine. Reasonable accommodations are made to assist with employee comfort when necessary (tents, rain ponchos, drinking water, etc.)
• Evening and weekend work schedules. Many events take place in the evenings and on the weekends. Flexible availability is required.
