Seasonal / Temporary Position
Houston Pumpkin Festival is hiring dependable, professional security officers to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our guests, vendors, and staff. Applicants must hold a current, valid Texas Level II security license.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol festival grounds and monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas.
- Assist with crowd control and keep walkways and emergency access points clear.
- Enforce event rules respectfully and consistently.
- Address guest concerns and calmly de-escalate conflicts.
- Report incidents, suspicious activity, and safety concerns to the security supervisor.
- Coordinate with event staff and emergency personnel when needed.
Requirements:
- Current, valid Texas Level II security license required. Proof must be provided before starting.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and use sound judgment in a busy, family-friendly environment.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform duties involving extended standing and walking.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
- Access to a working phone for scheduling and work communications.
Previous security or event experience is preferred.
