Duties
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries about pet care services via phone, email, app or in person.
- Manage appointment scheduling, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently to keep the flow smooth and organized
- Assist with pet intake and discharge procedures, ensuring all animals are handled safely using animal restraint techniques
- Provide daily kennel care including feeding, cleaning, administering medication, and monitoring pet health and behavior
- Handle animal handling tasks such as walking dogs, bathing dogs, and performing basic training or behavior reinforcement when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Support grooming staff with basic animal care tasks such as assisting during examinations or treatments when required
Experience
- Previous experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or pet grooming setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures enhances your ability to provide exceptional care
- Strong animal handling skills including restraint and safety protocols are essential for this role
- Customer service experience is necessary to create positive interactions with pet owners and visitors
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting (up to a certain weight) for kennel maintenance or supplies management
