Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and transport items using box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Drive route schedules efficiently to ensure prompt delivery and pickup of supplies.
- Load and secure shipments properly using equipment such a cargo van as needed .
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with warehouses or businesses
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during deliveries to ensure safety for yourself and others.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure reliable operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably in a healthcare or warehouse setting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) or
driver certification is a plus. - Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely, including moving equipment or medical supplies weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
