Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the development, administration, and continuous enhancement of the ServiceNow platform. This role is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and evolving ServiceNow solutions that support enterprise business processes across multiple functional modules while ensuring scalable, secure, and user-centered implementations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ServiceNow administration and development, JavaScript scripting, platform integrations, workflow automation, and enterprise application support, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator for the ServiceNow platform, supporting day-to-day operations and maintenance
- Configure and maintain ServiceNow applications, including forms, lists, workflows, flows, notifications, and reporting
- Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules, including IT Service Management (ITSM), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), Source-to-Pay (S2P), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and other supported modules
- Design and maintain Service Catalog items and end-to-end workflows using Flow Designer, approvals, task routing, and notifications
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Coordinate with technical teams for application development, enhancements, and production support
- Ensure platform configurations follow ServiceNow best practices while maintaining upgrade readiness
- Troubleshoot platform issues, analyze defects, and implement effective resolutions
- Support continuous improvement through process analysis and platform optimization
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration documentation, process flows, and user guides
- Partner with internal IT teams, vendors, and ServiceNow implementation partners
- Implement and maintain integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs
- Configure Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Roles, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Update Sets, and platform administration components
- Support platform security and user access management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow administration experience, including ownership or co-ownership of a ServiceNow instance
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including Forms, Lists, Tables, and Dictionary configuration
- Experience configuring Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Roles, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Update Sets, and platform administration
- Proficiency in JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Policies
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience with ServiceNow application modules including ITSM, HRSD, S2P, ITAM, or other ServiceNow applications
- Experience building or supporting integrations using REST APIs, Integration Hub, and data imports
- ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent IT Service Management (ITSM) process knowledge
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Experience with Customer Service Management (CSM) or Security Operations (SecOps)
- Experience working in public sector, K–12 education, or other highly regulated environments
- Experience supporting enterprise workflow automation and service delivery initiatives
