What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budtender position at 420 Holiday - Gulfport?
Job Overview
At 420 Holiday, a Budtender is more than a retail associate — they are a trusted guide, educator, and long-term team member who helps shape the experience our patients have with cannabis and with our brand.
We are a family-oriented, values-driven company that invests deeply in our people. In return, we are looking for individuals who want stability, growth, and longevity within a company — people who take pride in their work, show initiative, and understand that being part of a team also means being accountable to it.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive environment, works well independently without constant instruction, and genuinely enjoys helping others. Our Budtenders are cross-trained in inventory management, patient registration, education, and compliance, and are trusted to operate with professionalism and integrity every day.
(We’re proud to share that multiple members of our Budtender team — including leadership — have been nominated for the 2026 Budtender Awards, reflecting the level of excellence and care we bring to this role.)
What You’ll Do
- Create a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free experience for every patient and customer
- Provide thoughtful, personalized product education based on individual needs, preferences, and medical considerations
- Confidently guide customers through product selection while promoting responsible consumption

- Proactively upsell and cross-sell by identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience
- Assist with patient registration and verification in compliance with state regulations
- Maintain organized, visually appealing merchandising displays and a clean sales floor
- Perform inventory tasks including receiving, stocking, counts, and discrepancy resolution
- Answer phones professionally and communicate clearly with patients, vendors, and team members
- Support daily operations without needing constant direction — noticing what needs to be done and doing it
- Lead by example and assist in mentoring or guiding teammates when needed
- Uphold all compliance, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
Who We’re Looking For
- Someone seeking long-term employment, not a temporary or transitional role
- A reliable, self-motivated individual who takes ownership of their responsibilities
- A strong team player who understands that consistency and accountability matter
- Someone who appreciates a supportive workplace and does not take advantage of that trust
- A professional who can work independently while still collaborating seamlessly with others
