Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver with experience in car hauling to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles along designated routes, primarily focusing on hauling cars using a 9-car Peterbilt. This role involves driving between Florida and Maine, with a consistent schedule of five days on the road followed by two days off. The driver must have a proven track record of safe driving, vehicle handling, and adherence to transportation regulations.

Duties

• Safely operate a CDL A truck equipped for car hauling, including a 9-car Peterbilt, ensuring all vehicles are transported securely.
• Manage and execute daily routes between Florida and Maine, maintaining timely deliveries along the Maine route.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered on the road.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Uphold professional conduct while representing the company during all transportation activities.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in car hauling, specifically with 9-car Peterbilt trucks preferred.
• Ability to operate large commercial vehicles safely over long distances, including routes from Florida to Maine.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial vehicle operation.
• Excellent time management skills to adhere to scheduled routes and delivery deadlines.
• Physical ability to handle vehicle inspections and securement of vehicles during transport.
• Flexibility to work five days on the road with two days off, following the specified schedule in Middle River, Maryland or along the route as required.
