Overview
We're looking for motivated drivers to add to our fleet to run intermodal freight . We run 53' containers out of the NSHarrisburg/Rutherford and CSX Chambersburg railyards to Maryland round trips. The majority of the freight we run is annual DROP AND HOOK bid-lane freight that we see year round. Weekend work also available. Pay 27% of load 2 loads per day
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailer while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and optimize driving efficiency
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and compliance records in accordance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or unforeseen delays
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with 10 speed manual transmission
- Proven 2 year experience in commercial truck driving
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and adjustments
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and safety standards for trucking
- Strong attention to safety protocols when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials
Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week
