Building Name: CVPH - Medical Arts Building (214) Location Address: 214 Cornelia Street, Plattsburgh New York Regular Department: CVPH - Laboratory Per Diem (position has no committed hours and is not benefit eligible) Standard Hours: 0 Biweekly Scheduled Hours: 0 Shift: Day Primary Shift: Variable - Variable Weekend Needs: As Scheduled Salary Range: Min $43.61 Mid $54.08 Max $64.54 Recruiter: Cindy Reichard GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists the laboratory supervisor in achieving efficient laboratory operation by performing screening of gynecologic preparations and facilitating the evaluation of non-gynecologic preparations in accordance with departmental testing procedures and policies. Prepares diagnostic reports. Supports laboratory testing services by performing specimen processing, quality control and maintenance functions. Participates in training and inservice programs to maintain and upgrade competency at the level required by the laboratory director as procedures are changed or added. Performs quality assurance duties as requested. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor's Degree with certification as CT (ASCP). 2. Licensed or eligible (application pending with a limited license in effect) as a Cytotechnologist in the State of New York. 3. Employees with a limited license must obtain full license within New York State guidelines. This is a bargaining union position.
