About the role We are looking for a Maintenance Operations Technician / Technician, Feed & Byproducts Maintenance to help our maintenance operations team support equipment reliability across Rio Tinto Kennecott. In this role, you will collect and record asset health information that supports preventative maintenance programs and helps our teams make informed maintenance decisions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, follows safe and consistent work practices, and wants to contribute to the long-term performance of critical mining and processing assets. What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Maintenance Operations leadership team and working in a safety-focused, collaborative maintenance environment, you will be: Applying monitoring, sampling, and testing techniques to gather asset health data for fixed and mobile plant equipment Recording and maintaining accurate data to support preventative maintenance programs and asset management decisions Identifying potential asset defects within established parameters and escalating concerns to the appropriate team members Preparing asset condition and performance information to support planned maintenance and reliability improvements Following standardized work routines, safety requirements, and site procedures while completing inspections and testing activities Sharing observations, trends, and improvement opportunities that may help improve equipment reliability and performance Coaching or supporting less experienced team members when needed About you We’re looking for someone whose experience aligns with the key requirements below.
