Duties
- Walk dogs of all sizes and temperaments, ensuring proper pet exercise and outdoor activity
- Provide in-home pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication if needed, and overnight care
- Handle animals safely using training techniques and animal behavior knowledge to prevent stress or injury
- Maintain clear communication with pet owners about their pets’ needs, behaviors, and daily activities
- Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when required
- Support pet care routines by cleaning kennels, feeding areas, and ensuring a hygienic environment
- Recognize signs of veterinary concerns or behavioral issues and report them promptly to owners or veterinary professionals
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dog training, animal handling, or pet sitting preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus
- Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage various breeds and sizes confidently
- Experience with positive reinforcement training techniques and understanding animal behavior
- Ability to perform outdoor work in different weather conditions with heavy lifting when necessary
- Excellent client communication skills to provide updates and build trust with pet owners
- Passion for animal care with a proactive attitude toward pet exercise and overall well-being

Compensation:
Competitive compensation for Dog Sitters paid by the night rather than hourly - up to $80 per night. Dog sitting hourly ranging from $18 - $25 per hour.
