Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document patient conditions.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions employing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or emergencies.
- Provide specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and behavioral therapy tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and documentation with precision, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all patient interactions.
- Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to support continuous improvement of mental health programs and outcomes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; Oregon licensure as required by state law for clinical practice.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities; experience in inpatient or outpatient settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health modalities including psychotherapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management, and psychopharmacology.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
- Excellent crisis management skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and providing services remotely is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health care and experience maintaining detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Ability to work compassionately with diverse populations including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Geriatrics populations, or individuals facing complex mental health challenges such as chronic pain or trauma.
