\Position Summary

Central Oregon Family Therapy is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and culturally responsive Mental Health Therapist to provide outpatient psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. The therapist will deliver evidence-based behavioral health treatment in both in-person and telehealth settings, helping clients address emotional, behavioral, relational, and mental health concerns.

The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality, client-centered care and is comfortable working with diverse populations across the lifespan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Services

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and families.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy services to:
  • Children
  • Adolescents
  • Adults
  • Couples
  • Families
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches appropriate to client needs.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical boundaries and ethical standards in accordance with professional licensing boards and agency policies.
  • Assess and manage risk related to suicide, self-harm, abuse, neglect, and other safety concerns.
  • Develop and implement safety plans when clinically indicated.
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers, schools, community partners, and other treatment professionals as appropriate.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner, including:
  • Assessments
  • Diagnoses
  • Treatment plans
  • Progress notes
  • Discharge summaries
  • Other required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, insurance requirements, and agency policies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records.

Telehealth Services

  • Deliver therapy services via secure telehealth platforms when clinically appropriate.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professional standards during virtual sessions.
  • Assist clients with telehealth engagement and technology-related concerns.

Professional Development

  • Participate in clinical supervision and consultation as required.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education activities.
  • Maintain active licensure and continuing education requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.

Licensure

One of the following Oregon licenses:

NOW ACCEPTING ASSOCIATES!! Must have a minimum of six months, post graduate, of work experience in the field

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Experience

  • Experience providing mental health treatment to children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
  • Experience working with couples and families preferred.
  • Experience providing telehealth services preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment modalities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to build therapeutic rapport with clients across the lifespan.
  • Knowledge of child development, family systems, and relationship dynamics.
  • Strong crisis intervention and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and telehealth technology.
  • Commitment to cultural humility, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialized training in one or more of the following:
  • Play Therapy
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
  • EMDR
  • Gottman Method
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
  • Experience working with Medicaid and commercial insurance populations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while conducting therapy sessions and completing documentation.
  • Ability to utilize computers, phones, and telehealth technology.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between office locations if required.

Work Environment

  • Professional outpatient behavioral health setting.
  • Combination of office-based and telehealth service delivery.
  • Flexible scheduling options may be available, including evening appointments based on client needs.

Pay: $65.00 - $85.00 per hour
