Solar Sales Consultant — Rochester, NY
3rd ROC Solar is Western New York's trusted solar sales and installation organization. We are growing fast and looking for driven, people-oriented professionals to join our team. Through the NYSERDA state solar program, we help homeowners switch to solar with zero money down — a compelling, easy-to-present solution.
We are hiring for two roles. Placement is based on your experience and goals:
The Two Paths:
Setter (Appointment Canvasser)
Work door-to-door in targeted neighborhoods to spark homeowner interest and schedule in-home consultations. This is an entry-level field role — ideal if you're early in your sales career and want to build real skills while earning competitive commission from day one.
Consultant (In-Home Closer)
Run pre-set appointments with homeowners who are ready to learn about solar. Your job is to educate, consult, and close. This role suits experienced salespeople who are comfortable leading a full sales conversation and driving results independently.
Compensation:
On-Target Earnings: $50,000 – $240,000 per year
Commission-only | Fast payout | Flexible schedule

- Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools for scheduling and tracking
- Reliable personal transportation (required)
- Knowledge of solar energy is a plus — full training is provided for motivated candidates
