About the Opportunity
Our client, a nationally recognized Planning, Architecture, and Interior Design firm, is seeking an Interior Designer to join its growing team in Norwalk, Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity for a design professional with 3-7 years of experience who is passionate about creating exceptional interior environments within the hospitality, private club, and luxury residential sectors.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior design leadership while taking ownership of key project responsibilities and contributing to high-profile projects from concept through implementation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Interior Designers and the Director of Interior Design on a variety of hospitality, private club, and residential projects.
- Lead select projects and manage design-related tasks from concept development through project completion.
- Develop creative design solutions that enhance user experience and align with client goals.
- Prepare presentations, finish selections, FF&E documentation, and design deliverables.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, manufacturers, and project stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, suppliers, and vendors.
- Represent the firm professionally within the design community and industry organizations.
- Stay current on industry trends, materials, products, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design or related field.
- 3-7 years of professional interior design experience.
- Experience working on upscale hospitality, private club, luxury residential, or similar high-end interior projects.
- Strong design sensibility with the ability to translate concepts into thoughtful and functional interior environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment.
- Hand sketching and visual communication skills are preferred.
- NCIDQ certification is preferred.
- LEED accreditation is a plus.
