Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments by verifying contents against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Load and unload trucks safely using pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately for delivery or distribution
- Maintain organized stock areas through stocking, order picking, and inventory management using WMS or AS400 systems
- Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate materials and techniques
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to support inventory accuracy in warehouse systems like MRP
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely to facilitate efficient warehouse distribution processes
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and stock management
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners confidently and safely
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and MRP software for inventory control and order processing
- Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
- Experience with picking & packing orders efficiently for e-commerce or wholesale distribution channels
- Knowledge of packaging standards to ensure products are shipped securely and intact
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records of inbound/outbound shipments
