Position Summary
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor provides hands-on leadership for the Automated and Hand Fabrication (HF) departments during second-shift operations. This is not a desk job — the supervisor is expected to actively participate in production to maintain throughput, support cost efficiency, and help meet customer delivery requirements.
Working under the Auto and HF Production Managers, this role helps execute the daily production plan, ensures smooth workflow, and supports communication between shifts and key departments. The focus is on guiding the team, supporting safe and efficient operations, and keeping second-shift performance aligned with overall departmental expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on supervision, including assisting directly with Automated and HF production when needed.
- Execute the shift production plan and help ensure jobs progress on time to meet dispatch and delivery goals.
- Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and adjust labor as needed to support both Auto and HF priorities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015, company manufacturing standards, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Verify materials, job sheets, and specifications before work begins.
- Conduct in-shift quality checks and coordinate with the Quality team when issues arise.
- Maintain accurate completion of timesheets, production documentation, and QC requirements.
- Support housekeeping, organization, and safe working practices.
- Coach, guide, and develop team members to improve skills and shift flexibility.
- Support communication with Operations, Customer Support, Warehouse, and 1st shift to maintain continuity.
- Promote lean practices and help identify opportunities for process improvement.

Experience
