Assistant Safety Coordinator (Travel)

3C Industries is seeking an Assistant Safety Coordinator to support safety operations across active construction jobsites. This is a great opportunity for an early-career safety professional who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in the field, and interested in building a long-term career in construction safety.

The Assistant Safety Coordinator will work closely with the Safety team, Project Management, and Field Operations to help maintain accurate safety documentation, support jobsite safety activities, and ensure safety requirements are consistently communicated and followed. This role is intentionally administrative and hands-on, providing a strong foundation for learning construction safety practices in complex commercial and industrial environments, including data center projects.

This position will require travel between multiple jobsites and offers the opportunity to learn from experienced safety professionals while gaining exposure to active construction operations.

The proposed schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 10 hour shifts with rotational weekends.

Location: Point Pleasant, WV

Key Responsibilities

Support Safety Administration & Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate safety records, including inspections, orientations, training records, toolbox talks, certifications, incident documentation, daily safety paperwork, and other required jobsite documentation.

Assist with Jobsite Safety Activities: Support the Safety team with routine jobsite walks, inspections, audits, and observations. Document findings, help track corrective actions, and follow up on outstanding safety items with project and field teams.

Review & Track Safety Requirements: Assist with collecting and reviewing daily safety documentation, including job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, and other required paperwork, ensuring information is complete and properly maintained.

Coordinate Safety Training & Communication: Help schedule, track, and document safety orientations, meetings, toolbox talks, training, and certifications. Communicate with project teams and trade partners to collect information and support safety-related needs.

Support Incident & Emergency Response: Assist with gathering information and maintaining documentation related to injuries, incidents, near misses, and emergency events as directed by the Safety team.

Build Construction Safety Knowledge: Work alongside experienced safety and project professionals to develop an understanding of OSHA requirements, construction operations, common jobsite hazards, and 3CI safety practices.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience in construction, safety, field operations, project administration, or a related environment required
• Previous experience supporting construction safety activities preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with documentation, data entry, spreadsheets, and other administrative tasks
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with field and office teams
• Willingness to learn construction safety practices and OSHA requirements
• OSHA 30 Construction training preferred; willingness to obtain required training
• Current First Aid / CPR certification preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel between active jobsites
• Construction, safety, or related education is a plus
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or data center construction is a plus
