Service Coordinator – Heavy Equipment & Field Operations

This is a critical operations role serving as the central link between field crews and the service department. You’ll be responsible for keeping equipment moving, minimizing downtime, and ensuring mechanics have what they need—when they need it. What You’ll Be Doing
- Receive, triage, and prioritize maintenance and repair requests from field operations
- Create, manage, and track work orders within the maintenance system
- Schedule and dispatch mechanics to job sites or shop locations
- Coordinate parts and materials procurement; track delivery and availability
- Communicate repair status, delays, and equipment availability to operations and leadership
- Coordinate logistics for field repairs, including site access and equipment movement
- Maintain accurate service records, work order history, and repair documentation
- Create, update, and manage telematics geofences
- Monitor telematics alerts related to location, movement, and service needs
- Track equipment downtime and service performance metrics
- Support preventive maintenance scheduling and compliance efforts
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Ability to manage multiple work orders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, direct communicator with mechanics, field crews, vendors, and management
- Working knowledge of equipment maintenance and service workflows
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and telematics platforms
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through
- Confident decision-maker with strong prioritization skills
Preferred Background
- Experience coordinating maintenance for heavy equipment, fleet, or construction operations
- Familiarity with telematics systems and geofencing
- Experience supporting field-based service operations
