Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Marine & Heavy Civil
Pay: $110,000 – $140,000
Schedule: 11 days onsite / 3 days home
100% Travel: Flights vehicle provided

The Role…
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to help lead $7M–$15M heavy civil construction projects from start-up through closeout. This is a true field operations leadership role, not a desk-based position. The APM is responsible for jobsite execution, including safety, quality, schedule, cost control, subcontractor performance, and client delivery, with direct exposure to full Project Manager responsibilities in active construction environments.
What you will be doing:
- Manage budget, schedule, cost control, and labor productivity
- Execute RFIs, submittals, change orders, billing & AR
- Lead daily coordination with Superintendents & subcontractors
- Approve pay apps, invoices, and field costs
- Enforce OSHA & company safety programs
- Interface with clients, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
- Act as Project Manager when required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related
- 2–5 years as a Project Engineer or APM
- Experience on $7M construction projects
- Strong background in:
- Cost control & billing
- Change orders & scheduling
- Subcontractor management
- Ability to travel nationwide on rotation
