What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piping Estimator position at 360 Recruiter Accelerator?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for large industrial and commercial piping projects. This individual will evaluate drawings, specifications, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to determine the total cost and scope of each project.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, RFQs, RFPs, and bid documents
- Complete piping material and labor takeoffs
- Obtain accurate pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Prepare cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
- Develop bid clarifications, exclusions, RFIs, and scope-of-work reviews
- Review estimates for accuracy and completeness
- Support the turnover of awarded projects from estimating to construction
Qualifications
- Five or more years of piping, mechanical, or construction estimating experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience completing material and labor takeoffs
- Familiarity with QuickPen or similar estimating software
- Knowledge of piping materials, installation methods, and project costs
- Experience with industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, data center, or large commercial projects preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
