Located in the historic Uptown/Garden District, Touro is known for: Outstanding patient experience ratings and community trust Comprehensive services including emergency, surgical, cardiac, stroke, and rehab care A modern cardiac catheterization lab and full-service imaging and diagnostic support A collegial, physician-friendly environment with experienced clinical teams 💼 Position Overview Title: Interventional Cardiologist – Structural Heart Location: Touro Hospital, New Orleans, LA Employment Type: Full-time, hospital-employed Specialty: Interventional Cardiology with Structural Heart Expertise 🔧 Key Responsibilities Perform interventional procedures including angioplasty, stenting, and coronary diagnostics Interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and angiograms Collaborate with a multidisciplinary heart team, including cardiac surgery, imaging, and advanced heart failure Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiac care and consultations Participate in STEMI call (1:3 coverage and about 50 per year) and ensure rapid response for emergent cases Maintain thorough documentation and uphold clinical quality standards (Preferred not required) Participate in structural heart interventions, including TAVR, PFO/ASD closure, TEER, Watchman and other emerging therapies ✅ Qualifications MD or DO degree; completion of U.S.-based internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology, including Structural Heart procedures Board Certification in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Eligible for unrestricted Louisiana medical license American Heart Association, Basic Life Support-HCP, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
