Description:Position SummaryThe HR and Training & Compliance Administrator is responsible for supporting day-to-day Human Resources operations with a strong focus on employee training, regulatory compliance, and accurate HR administration. This role ensures employees are properly onboarded, trained, and compliant with California and federal employment requirements, while maintaining confidential employee records and supporting payroll and benefits processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about California HR compliance fundamentals.Key ResponsibilitiesHR AdministrationMaintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee personnel files in compliance with California recordkeeping requirementsPrepare and administer HR documentation including offer letters, employment agreements, policy acknowledgments, and employee status changesManage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring completion of required documentation, notices, and trainingServe as a primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries and administrative supportMaintain and update HRIS data to ensure accuracy and complianceTraining Ownership (California-Specific)Own and administer all required employee training programsTrack training completion deadlines and maintain accurate training recordsCoordinate training for new hires, supervisors, and ongoing employee requirementsWork with managers to ensure timely completion of required and role-specific trainingSupport rollout of new policies or regulatory changes through training coordinationCompliance & Risk Management (California Focus)Support compliance with California and federal employment laws, including wage and hour, leave laws, and employee classificationsAdminister and track required employee notices and acknowledgments (e.g., wage theft prevention notices, handbook acknowledgments)Maintain required labor law postings and ensure updates are implemented promptlyTrack and support compliance with California leave programs (e.g., CFRA, FMLA, paid sick leave)Assist with State audits, regulatory requests, and compliance reportingSupport employee relations documentation, complaint intake, and escalation following company policyPayroll & Benefits SupportAssist with payroll preparation by tracking employee changes, time-off balances, and status updatesSupport benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiriesCoordinate with Finance, payroll providers, and benefits vendors as neededMaintain accurate records related to compensation, benefits, and leaves of absenceRecruitment & Onboarding SupportAssist with job postings and candidate communicationsCoordinate interview scheduling and onboarding logisticsEnsure new hires receive all required California notices, policies, and trainingGeneral HR SupportSupport performance review cycles and HR initiativesPrepare HR reports and compliance documentation as requestedParticipate in HR process improvements and documentation updatesPromote a compliant, inclusive, and professional workplace cultureQualifications & SkillsRequired2–4 years of experience in an HR administrative, HR coordinator, or similar roleWorking knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance requirementsExperience tracking and administering mandatory employee trainingStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platformsPreferredHR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)Experience supporting payroll and benefits administrationFamiliarity with California leave laws (CFRA, paid sick leave, LOAs)Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviewsRequirements:
