Position Summary The Regional Consumer Lender receives and reviews applications for consumer credit. They meet with applicants to explain credit policy and to obtain information for loan documentation as well as close loans. Assure that loan applications, loan documentation and loan closings meet established lending criteria. They will work with their consumer lending portfolio and will answer any questions current customers may have on the consumer loans within the bank. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Interviews applicant and requests specified information for loan application. Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation. Corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information. Facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms. Completes lien or other searches for loans to be collateralized. Orders Evaluations/Appraisals through the Appraisal Department. Order title insurance and collateral insurance on approved loans. Reviews loan file for completeness and request loan documents. Forwards completed loan files to Consumer Underwriter for approval. Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy. Meets with customers to explain all pertinent information in the closing documents, obtains signatures, and coordinates loan funding. Prepares miscellaneous correspondence and reports. Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements. Keeps abreast of loan regulations and compliance issues through formal and informal training. Adhere to Triumph’s core values Other duties as assigned Experience & Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required 2-4 years of customer service experience preferably in banking environment. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Travel within territory required Skills & Abilities Required Knowledgeable with Fair Lending practices preferred Understanding of Fair Lending reporting preferred Knowledgeable with lending industry guidelines preferred Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here maybe encountered while performing the essential functions of this job.
