What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tile Setter position at 3 Feathers Contracting Company?
As a Tile Setter, you will be a vital part of our construction team, specializing in flooring installation and tile laying. Your core skills in construction, along with premium skills in construction estimating, will be essential in ensuring high-quality workmanship. With relevant experience in construction sites, blueprint reading, and using hand tools, you will excel in tasks such as water damage restoration, floor care, and tile setting. Responsibilities:
- Install and set tiles in various locations such as floors, walls, and ceilings
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and leveling them
- Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas
- Mix and apply adhesive or mortar to secure tiles in place
- Use tools such as trowels, tile cutters, and power saws to shape and trim tiles
- Ensure tiles are properly aligned and spaced
- Grout and seal tiles to create a finished look
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tile Setter or similar role
- Knowledge of power tools used in tile setting
- Ability to read construction estimates and blueprints
Requirements:
- Chauffeur License
- Ability to safely drive to and from job sites in company vehicles
- Positive mindset and attitude
- Timely, professional, willing to work rotating weekends
