We are looking for an Experienced SERVER to join our Team!

The $3 Deweys is seeking an experienced Server for immediate hire at our Alehouse located on Commercial St. in the Old Port. We should meet if you want to be a part of a growing and dynamic team!

Pay:
$8.38 per hour plus tips. Employees will receive at least the applicable minimum wage when direct wages and tips are combined. Employees in this position typically earn $20 or more per hour in total, including tips. Actual earnings vary by shift, customer volume, and tips received.
Duties:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Present the menu and wine list to customers, making recommendations based on customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Take customer orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen
- Serve food and drinks to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Check in with customers throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction and offer assistance as needed
- Handle payment at the end of the meal, including processing credit card transactions and handling cash and tips
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the dining room, including setting tables, cleaning up spills, and replacing silverware and other supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and handle any issues that may arise in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner
- Knowledge of food and wine, including the ability to make recommendations based on customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently
- Familiarity with TOAST or POS systems for order processing and payment handling
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry heavy objects as needed
- Professional appearance, including the ability to adhere to a dress code
Pay: $8.38 - $20.00 per hour
