What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller – Private Equity Fund position at 3 Bridge Networks?
We are partnering with a growing investment platform seeking an Assistant Controller to support the finance function across a hybrid growth fund. This role will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in managing fund accounting, reporting, and overall financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fund accounting activities across private equity fund structures
- Review and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements, capital account statements, and investor reporting
- Manage relationships with fund administrators and ensure accuracy of deliverables
- Oversee capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations
- Review general ledger activity and reconciliations across multiple entities
- Support audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Assist with fund launches, structuring, and ongoing operational setup
- Partner with internal teams on reporting, performance tracking, and ad hoc analysis
Qualifications:
- 6–10 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within private equity
- Prior experience at a fund, fund administrator, or public accounting firm with asset management clients
- Strong understanding of fund structures, capital activity, and investor allocations
- Experience managing or reviewing work from fund administrators
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growing environment
