We install ramps, grab bars, stairlifts, ADA bathrooms, and more, and we'll train you to do it.The Installer - Home Access Specialist I (HAS I) role is an entry-level field technician position. You'll start with basic installs and assisting more experienced technicians, then grow your skills through hands-on training and internal workshops.ResponsibilitiesPerform simple installs independently, such as: grab bars, handrails, toilet risers, small ramps and threshold rampsAssist senior installers with loading/unloading materials, transporting tools and equipment and preparing and cleaning up job sitesLearn to install entry-level accessibility products, including grab bars and handheld showerheads, and small ramps and basic safety equipmentAttend internal safety briefings, product training, and workshops.Support technicians during walkthroughs and client interactions.Help with measurements, site documentation, and photos.Safely operate hand and power tools and keep them in good condition.Represent 3 Birds Accessibility professionally in customers' homes.Follow all safety standards and ensure job sites are clean and organized.Assist the Lead or senior HAS on any job as needed.QualificationsExperience in construction, maintenance, home modification, or home remodeling is a plus, but not requiredWillingness to learn a skilled trade is essentialBasic understanding of hand tools, levels & measuring equipment, fasteners and basic construction conceptsStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift heavy equipment and perform physical laborValid driver's license and reliable transportationMust pass all 3 Birds Accessibility background checks upon a conditional job offer (criminal, MVR, and sex offender registry)Respectful, kind, and comfortable working in the homes of seniors and people with disabilitiesCompensationFull-time, W-2 Employment.Pay: Begins at $23/hour, with a planned review at 90 days.
