What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Recovery Specialist position at 29:11 Healing & Recovery Center?
This position is a supportive role. This position is responsible for supporting the principles of the facility and keeping the professional approach. The Peer Recovery Specialist is punctual, follows the directions of the supervisors, and overall improve the facility’s general functioning. This is a non-exempt position.
Minimum qualifications:
o Peer Recovery Specialist Certification or able to undergo training
o Comfortability working with a team
o Knowledge of HIPAA/Confidentiality
o Ability to multitask
o Excellent time management
o Ability to undergo required training
o Effective communication skills
o Knowledge of crisis prevention and de-escalation
o If a volunteer is assisting with group therapy sessions, they must have a CIT certification
o Must be able to pass a drug test
o Must be able to pass background screening
Duties/Responsibilities:
o Maintain responsibility of accountability
o Facilitate group therapy
o Complete all supervisor’s tasks and report any problems accordingly for the proper functioning of the facility
o Transport clients
o Indulge in projects
o Communicate with those inquiring with questions and provide as much information as possible
o Arrive for duty on time and maintain a professional demeanor in every aspect
o Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA rules and regulations
o Understand the role and responsibilities as well as the rules and safety regulations of the facility
o Complete relevant training and ask questions in times of uncertainty o Deliver presentations or reports if necessary
o Be aware of policies and procedures
o Assist team with duties
o Other duties as assigned by management
