What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at 29:11 Healing & Recovery Center?
**This is a weekend position.
The LPN supports the function and operations of the treatment facility and the clients served. This position ensures the smooth and efficient administration of care while maintaining the quality and integrity of services provided. This position assists the Physician, Counselors, Therapists, RDS’s, and Administrators in setting the tone for the facility to ensure routines and schedules are being followed and met. The LPN will oversee Regional Detox Specialists. The LPN participates in developing and maintaining a therapeutic environment for clients as well as assisting clients in accomplishing treatment goals. This is a part-time position. Hours of assignment are 7am-7pm on weekends only.
Duties/Responsibilities:
o Maintain responsibility of accountability
o Assist in the admissions of residents including orientation, intake assessment, urine
screen, protocols and recurring assessments, secure search/storage of personal property
o Provide phlebotomy as needed
o Check vitals as needed
o Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, ADA, DHCS, and Joint Commission policies and procedures
o Complete proficient documentation in EMR
o Document client progress
o Conduct facility walk-throughs of care environment establishing a consistent presence and awareness of residents’ behavior
o Maintain positive interactions with clients always and provide support
o Encourage socially acceptable habits and behaviors (i.e., personal hygiene and grooming, table manners, etc.)
o Educate clients on necessary health and wellness
o Enforce policies and procedures
o Maintain cleanliness of facility and other preparation as needed
o Facilitate program activities and maintain client schedules.
o Conduct recurring assessments, interactions, observations, and documentation of residents
o Communicate thoroughly with other staff involved in client treatment plans o Assist as needed in Crisis Intervention
o Assist in client discharge, facilitate client transportation and continuity of care with next level of care environment and/or facility
o Provide and maintain a clean and safe environment for rehabilitation
o Administer medications
o Other duties as assigned by management
